MIN Shooting Guard #5

Anthony Edwards led Team USA with 26 points (11-of-15 FGs), three rebounds, three assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in a 104-83 win over Puerto Rico.

In just 17 minutes of playing time, Edwards led the team in scoring to help the US move to 3-0 in group play. He had an efficient shooting performance and was one of six players to score in double figures. He has been effective throughout the Olympics, but this was by far his best outing. He’ll look to keep things going in the next round as they continue their quest for gold.
Rob Dillingham

MIN Point Guard

Rob Dillingham shot 11-of-18 from the field and 0-of-1 from the foul line in Sunday’s 115-100 win over Orlando, scoring 25 points with three rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Dillingham, whose rights Minnesota acquired from San Antonio on draft night, looked like a steal for most of summer league. While he did commit five turnovers in Sunday’s finale, the positives far outweighed the negatives. Dillingham displayed a proper balance of getting his shot and setting up his teammates, a big reason why Minnesota ended its summer on a high note. Serving as Mike Conley’s backup would limit Dillingham’s fantasy upside in the short term, but the Timberwolves may have a future star on their hands.
Josh Minott

MIN Power Forward #8

Josh Minott posted a full line on Thursday with 15 points (5-of-9 FGs), four rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and two triples against Houston.

Though he didn’t see the floor much through his first two seasons in the NBA, Minott has gotten off to a strong start this summer. He is averaging 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.0 block and 1.0 triple through the team’s first four games, which has been a great opportunity for him to show off his upside. Minott is still only 21 years old, and if he continues to develop, he has the makings of an impact player in fantasy basketball.
Leonard Miller

MIN Small Forward #33

Leonard Miller led Minnesota with 21 points (9-of-17 FGs), 11 rebounds, five assists, five steals, one block and one triple in a 93-83 win over the Rockets on Thursday.

Miller’s first two games of this summer were a struggle, but after finishing with a 22/13 double-double in their last game, Miller provided an encore with another 20-point double-double in this one. He even tossed in a five-steal effort to truly dominate the box score. Miller is still only 20 years old and his upside is limitless. He barely saw the floor as a rookie, but he will battle to see more minutes in year two. However, at this point, he is just a dynasty stash that has tremendous upside.
Rob Dillingham

MIN Point Guard

Rob Dillingham struggled with his shot but still finished with 15 points (6-of-21 FGs), five rebounds, six assists and two triples against Houston on Thursday.

Dillingham continues to struggle with his shot, but he was able to do enough in this game to help them get the win. He is averaging 11.8 points and 6.5 assists per game this summer, though he has yet to shoot 40% in a game. He will likely fill out the backup point guard role this upcoming season, with Minnesota banking on him developing into their point guard of the future. His production this season will be limited, but his long-term upside is evident.
Terrence Shannon Jr.

MIN Shooting Guard

Terrence Shannon Jr. (left toe) will not return to Thursday’s game against Houston.

Shannon Jr. has played well this summer, but this game will end for him after he logged just seven minutes and only contributed a rebound. Hopefully this isn’t an injury that will keep him out past this game, but if it does, he was able to do enough this summer to prove that he should be part of the team’s rotation to some extent next season.
Rob Dillingham

MIN Point Guard

Rob Dillingham finished Sunday’s win over the Pacers with 14 points (5-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

Having been utilized primarily as a scorer during his one season at Kentucky, Dillingham appears destined to spend more time on the ball in the NBA. He’s run the point in summer league, and the rookie committed only two turnovers on Sunday afternoon. With Mike Conley in the fold, Dillingham will not be a starter anytime soon. However, that spot could be where he lands down the line, playing alongside Anthony Edwards. Dillingham will be a valuable option in dynasty league drafts, while managers in redrafts won’t need to be as aggressive in where they select him.
Josh Minott

MIN Power Forward #8

Josh Minott accumulated 15 points (4-of-10 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), 12 rebounds, two steals, one block, and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes in Sunday’s 105-94 win over the Pacers.

The Timberwolves went into summer league hoping to see more production from Minott, and he’s answered the call. The 2022 second-round pick, who has not earned consistent rotation minutes, recorded a double-double on Sunday and contributed two steals and one blocked shot. While Leonard Miller (7/3/1/0/1 in 17 minutes) has been relatively quiet in Las Vegas, Minott’s growth has translated into impressive numbers.
Terrence Shannon Jr.

MIN Shooting Guard

Terrence Shannon Jr. logged 30 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Pacers, amassing 19 points (6-of-11 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three blocks.

Shannon had a good afternoon on Sunday, scoring efficiently while also impacting the action on defense. The former Illinois standout accumulated five “stocks,” and the Timberwolves collectively produced 17 steals and eight blocked shots. Shannon’s scoring ability is why he was valued as a draft prospect, but his defense should not be overlooked. His fantasy potential next season may be limited due to the bench role he’s likely to take on, but Shannon will certainly have value.
Jaylen Clark

MIN Shooting Guard #0

Jaylen Clark finished Sunday’s 105-94 win over the Pacers with nine points (4-of-5 FGs), two rebounds, one assist, six steals, one block, and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes.

The NBA’s best defensive team may have another option to call on next season. Clark, considered one of the best defenders in the 2023 draft class, was an absolute menace on Sunday. He tallied six steals and one blocked shot in just 19 minutes on the court, excelling defensively on and off the ball. Clark missed all last season after rupturing his Achilles in March 2023, and he’s looked healthy in Las Vegas. Even with the Timberwolves adding Rob Dillingham and Terrence Shannon Jr. in the draft, Clark will have every opportunity to earn minutes due to his defensive prowess.
