Classes

Classes are currently offered on Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6:30 pm. The first and third Tuesday of every month is Yin/Restorative Yoga at 7:30pm. We are located above The Lock-Up Gym on West Main Cross in Taylorville, Illinois, USA.

*More classes will be offered over the summer.*

Also, classes in Springfield at the Library will return in APRIL 2018!

YOUR FIRST CLASS

  • All current classes are great for Beginners and Intermediate students.
  • You do not need to have any experience to take yoga!
  • Yoga is for EVERY BODY. Let Tina know if you have any health concerns. For legal purposes, we need to tell you to check with your doctor before taking part in any physical activity.
  • Please arrive a few minutes early.
  • Wear comfortable clothing like you would to a gym.
  • Do not eat a heavy meal just before class. A light snack, such as a piece of fruit is great!
  • Payment is due at the beginning of class. Cash preferred.
  • You may rent a mat for $1.00.
  • We have a water fountain in our studio if you forget to bring water with you.

 

GENERAL YOGA

  • All current classes are great for Beginners and Intermediate students.
  • You do not need to have any experience to take this class!
  • Tina is trained in Hatha Yoga.
  • Hatha Yoga is a form of yoga, great for everyone, as it is a even, slow paced class. If you are looking for faster paced yoga, check out the Vinyasa Flow Class, coming soon!

 

YOGA FOR HEALING

  • Yoga for Healing is for ANYONE! Classes are all levels.
  • This class is great for anyone who has suffered loss, trauma, or deals with mental illness.
  • Tina is specially trained by Warriors at Ease to teach Veterans, their families, and anyone who has dealt with trauma or loss.
  • We sometimes use Essential Oils in class. Just let Tina know if you would rather not use oils!
  • This class uses breathing and relaxation techniques, along with poses designed for healing.

 

FAMILY YOGA

  • Perfect for families with children.
  • We play games, use flash cards, and occasionally sing.
  • Everyone can participate. Family size does not matter!
  • This is the perfect way to introduce your little ones to yoga or get in some bonding time with older children.
